Using a double wishbone type suspension with bell crank and pushrod as a model, this paper introduces a method for calculating suspension spring, shock absorber, anti-roll bar and pitting damper geometries using expressions derived directly from the kinematics of mechanism theory. Next, the authors derive expressions such as link lever ratio, spring constant converted into wheel center location, and roll stiffness by using the linear approximation functions obtained based on these calculation results and the balance equations of power derived from a dynamic model that simplifies bell crank surroundings.
